Today, June 8th, we visited Pachacamac, the site of ancient Inca ruins. Before seeing the ruins, we went to the museum dedicated to the ruins to read up on and see some of the artifacts that were found on site. The museum contained five quipus, which was great for us to view and study.
Another thing I found in the museum was an article of clothing worn by the pre-Colombian tribes: the uncu. Uncus are cotton dresses with a decorative edge and woven in assorted colors.
After leaving the museum, we proceeded to begin the long road towards El Templo del Sol. We discovered many things, including the Inca's proclivity to use trapezoidal doors in their edifices, as seen below.
