Cuzco is a completely different atmosphere than Lima. Cuzco is an amazingly beautiful city that will take your breath away, LITERALLY! The altitude difference was definitely noticeable after getting off the flight. I'm so grateful for the english speaking woman who recommended
altitude sickness pills when we met her at the Cathedral early last week.

view from our hotel room |
Just walking up the stairs of the hotel was enough to make my heart race and the shortness of breath kick in. I'm definitely ready to be acclimated already. Luckily with the combination of the soroche pills, coca tea, and sleep we have hopefully avoided getting sick for the most part. Even so we are still going to be weary for the next few days and take it somewhat easy.Even so, I'm still excited to get to explore the city! Even the view from our
Hotel is incredibly beautiful.

The city center,
Plaza de Armas, was full of life even at night when we finally went out. The center was full of andean music and large groups of the children doing a native dance. It will be even better to get to see the interactions in the center tomorrow.
