An Adventure Up the Mountain

I thought the museum we went today was pretty cool. I didn't understand anything that was being said, but I liked the different videos depicting different aspects of Lima's history. The ways they presented these videos were pretty cool too since it changed things up and kept it from being repetitive. The earthquake room was probably my favorite since it had the special effects with the moving chairs and 3D video.

After splitting up at the museum, the nine of us took a bus to Rimac trying to get to Mirador de San Cristobal (the big cross on that big hill). We learned when we got to Rimac that we had to take a different bus to the top and had to go back to Plaza Mayor to get on it. So we took another bus back and once there we split up with half of us going to Mira Flores and the other half going to the mountain. Matt, Michael, Joey and I were the group that went to the mountain. We managed to find our way back to Plaza Mayor  after grabbing some lunch and as soon as we got there we ran into the people who did the tour bus to the mountain. Then we ended up waiting about an hour for the bus to show up even though they kept saying five minutes and we started joking that the whole thing was a scam. I didn't understand what the tour guide was saying on the bus trip up the mountain or down the mountain, but the view from the top was amazing. Below are some pictures from the top. I would say it was definitely worth the S./ 5.00. That little trip ended up taking most of the day because of all of the walking and waiting, but it was a great way to spend the day.
