After that pit stop we kept traveling until we got to the Moray archaeological site. Along the way, we saw snow capped peaks of mountains that were 20,000 feet high. That was absolutely amazing! The Moray site is a bunch of elevated circles in the landscape that were once used for farming. What was amazing was that each level was colder than the one below it. That really showed the ingenuity of the Incas because they were able to control a climate for certain crops.
After Moray, we made our way into the town of Ollaytatambo. It was only a few miles but it took over an hour because of the winding roads. After dinner in Ollatatambo, we visited ruins on a mountain right behind our hotel. The ruins were organized in a way so that they fall into convergence with the sun. Unfortunately, the clouds blocked the sun so we couldn't see the display but it was still cool to see the ruins.
That's it for today. Can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store.
